Elizabeth Krieger

Elizabeth “Betty” Pennella Krieger passed away peacefully on Oct. 30, 2021 after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family, she entered into eternal life after living a full 89 years. A wonderful Bridge player and cook, she loved to travel, read, and spend time with family and friends.

Betty never met a stranger, and her generosity will live on in her children, daughter and son-in-law, Susan (Krieger) and Harry Solis; son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Vickie (Vampran) Krieger; grandchildren, Matthew Krieger, Michelle and her wife Tara (Millburn) Krieger; and great-grandchildren, Ellie and Mikah.

Born in Harrison, NJ and living all over the world, she settled in her beloved “Deep South”.

Preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Margaret Pennella; and brother, Peter.

A celebration of life will take place on Monday, November 29, 2021 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am officiated by Father Yi. Arrangements by Resthaven Funeral Home, Baton Rouge.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Thomas More building fund or your favorite charity.
