Elizabeth Hartzog

Elizabeth Martin Hartzog, age 90, was born on September 11, 1926 and passed away on March 28, 2017.

Elizabeth was born and raised in Brusly McCall, LA, and later became a long-time resident of Baton Rouge, LA.

She is survived by her son, John W. Hartzog, Jr.; her daughter, Mary E. "Robin" Hartzog; her two grandsons, Eric Charles Hartzog and wife, Heidi, and John Jeremie Hartzog and wife, Tameka; her two great-grandsons, Cullan and Gavin; her Goddaughter, Mary Agnes Diez Langlois; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Elizabeth is preceded in death by her former spouse, John W. Hartzog; her parents, Ernest Martin and Mary Carbo Martin; her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth A. Noto Hartzog; her granddaughter, Jayanne Nicole Hartzog; her brothers, Joseph Martin, Ernest Martin, Jr., and Nelson Martin; and her sisters, Clara M. Diez, Agnes M. Armstrong, Lydia M. Babin, and Marjorie M. Brister.

Visiting hours will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visiting hours will resume on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 15615 Jefferson Hwy. from 9:30 AM until Mass at 10:30 AM. Burial will be held at a later date at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
