Bergeron, Elizabeth "Betty" Newman
Elizabeth "Betty" Newman Bergeron, age 82, native of New Orleans, LA, and resident of Prairieville, passed away on April 14, 2015 at home after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Betty retired after 22 years of childcare in her home. She was a lifetime member of Foxy's Health Club and loved to garden. She will be remembered fondly always laughing and whistling.

Betty is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert Earl "Bob" Bergeron; children, Pamela Gremillion and husband Steve, Robert Edward Bergeron, Edward Bergeron and wife Sherri, Janet Bergeron, Sandra Bergeron, Jacqueline McClain and husband Keith, and William Bergeron and wife Terri; 27 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; George Washington Newman and Rose Francis Newman; one sister and two brothers.

The family request that visiting hours be observed on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, at 12:00 PM.

Interment will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

The Family would like to thank her 2 caretakers Rebecca Delaune and Demira Marshall, along with Dr. M. Saeed.
