Eleanor Lowry

Eleanor Ann Lowry passed peacefully Thursday night, April 13th, 2017. She was 87 years old. She was born in Memphis, TN and a current resident of Amber Terrace in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was married to John Lowry, and had three children; Terry, Randy, and Steve.

She is survived by one son, Terry; two sisters, Mimi & Camielle, and cousin, Nancy; as well as two grandchildren and three great grandchildren, and others.

In her youth, she was an electrical engineer and accomplished artist. She also was one of the first women in aviation and to pilot, having built and flown her own plane.
