Eldon Blount

A retired electrician with Electrical Local 995, he passed away at the Carpenter House on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 5:30pm. He was 76 years old, a native of Livingston Parish and a resident of Baton Rouge. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. Visiting will be at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway on Monday, January 31, 2011 from 9am until service at 10:30am, conducted by Rev. Michael Collins. Entombment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory Mausoleum. He is survived by his wife, Anne Marie Blount daughters, Michele Wilson and friend, Kevin Phillips Brigitte DeVille and husband John and Joelle Lemoine and husband Royce sons, Eldon R. Blount Jr. and wife, Gwen Curtis P. Blount and wife Carolyn Dewayne Blount and wife Cindy Clint Blount and Bruce Williams sister, Christine Teague brothers, Henry Blount and wife Ora Mae Jesse Blount and wife Ann Lea and Stanley Blount half brother, Andy Blount a half sister, Kathy 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, William Blount mother Francis Steagall and a sister, Ester Sibley. He was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
