Edwin Feig

Fear not, for I am with you be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. For I, the Lord your God will hold your right hand, saying to you, Fear not, I will help you.
A man who loved life, his wife, travel, and the depths and beauty of the open seas, and the height and majesty of the mountains, departed this life at 3:30 PM on August 2, 2010, at age 68 October 25, 1941. A resident of Baton Rouge, 1958 graduate of Baton Rouge High and retired chemist from Dow Chemical and DupontDow, Rick leaves behind to cherish his memories his beloved wife, Cathy Jines Feig two brothers, Mike and John, wife Janet sister, Margaret Feig Smith, husband Dean son, Mark Feig, fianc Stacey Coker stepchildren, Joey Schafer Simoneaux and Jeff Schafer special son and daughter in law, Juan Simoneaux and Kay Schafer four grandchildren, Marissa Lee, Brooks and Avery Schafer, and Rylee Simoneaux nephew, Jonathan Feig nieces, Jennifer and Jamie Feig, stepmother, Tina Messina Feig, stepbrother, Frank Messina and stepsister, Mary Ann Messina Long. Preceded in death by his parents Edwin Damuth Feig and Eloise Landry Feig. The warmest of gratitude is owed to the ICUC nurses at The Baton Rouge General Bluebonnet and Glen Schwartzburg, MD, for wrapping their loving arms and hearts around Ricks family throughout this journey. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, from 3:00 PM Thursday, August 5 until memorial service at 6:00 PM conducted by Pastor Jim Rentz of Healing Place Church. Private burial at a later date. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark, Mike, John, Jonathan and Bill Feig, Dean Smith, Woody Wilson, Jeff Schafer, Juan Simoneaux, Ricky Mayeux, and Clay Dugas.
