Edwin William "Bill" Curry, age 71, who was a resident of Baton Rouge for over 45 years, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2015.
He was born on August 11, 1943, and grew up in Centerville, Louisiana. Bill was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He worked for the Louisiana State Senate for 40 years.
Bill is survived by his wife, Nancy Lejeune Curry; his son, Bill Curry and his wife Lauren; his daughter, Christina Dorsa and her husband Tony; his grandchildren Abigail Dorsa, William Curry, Elizabeth Curry, and Camille Curry.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Evans "Prof" Curry and Gertrude Stockstill Curry; and his brother, Evans Curry.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Visiting hours will resume on Friday, May 15, 2015, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 5990 Perkins Road, Baton Rouge, LA, from 8:00 AM until time of services.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at 10:00 AM.
Interment will take place at Louisiana National Cemetery, 303 W. Mount Pleasant Road, Zachary, LA.
