Edward Williams

Eddie Williams, age 79, who was a resident of Zachary, passed away on February 2, 2015 at his residence.

He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1953 to 1956 & was the founder & president of Challenge Cabinets & Millworks Corp. from 1965 to 2005. Eddie enjoyed working on his farm and building anything made with wood. He was a master carpenter and cabinet maker and an excellent horseman. He loved God, his family & his country. He was a wonderful husband & father and was a very dedicated grandfather. He was & always will be a spiritual warrior and our hero. Eddie was a very fun, loving & outgoing person. Loved by all, he will be forever missed.

He is survived by his loving & devoted wife of 60 years, Rita Brouillette Williams; three sons, Perry Williams and wife RoxAnne, Ray Williams and wife JoAnn, Allen Williams; two daughters, Remell Goodwin and husband Craig and Paula Zumo and husband Ronny; seventeen grandchildren, Audie Williams, Haileigh Williams, Austin Williams, Erik Williams, Hannah Williams, Cade Williams, Jacob Williams, Westin Williams, Cody Williams, Travis Williams, Tyler Williams, Alexandra Goodwin, Remy Goodwin, Ridge Goodwin, Samee Zumo, Chase Zumo & Callie Zumo; five great-grandchildren (with one on the way); and two sisters, Dorothy Faye Easley and Rita Ann Oalman.

Visitation will be at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. on Friday February 6, 2015 from 5 PM to 9 PM and will resume Saturday February 7, 2015 from 9 AM until funeral services at 10 AM.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2015 at a 10:00 AM Memorial Service at Resthaven Funeral Home, officiant will be Pastor Rick Edmonds. Pallbearers will be his twelve grandsons.

Interment will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
