Edward Parent

Edward Joseph Parent, 77, passed away on August 23, 2018 at his home in Livingston. Ed was born November 6, 1940 in Baton Rouge, the son of Clay Sr. and Eloise Argrave Parent. On September 8, 1979 he married Mary Ann Hughes in Baton Rouge and together they have five children.

Ed was a faithful member of the Catholic Community. After retiring as a tile setter, Ed became head custodian at Doyle Elementary for Livingston Parish School District. He is a former calf roper who enjoyed horse racing, playing cards, and a loyal LSU Tiger fan.

Survivors include his wife Mary Ann; daughters, Kelli (Johnnie), Tanya (Earl), Teresa (Michael), Nana (Pete) and Angel (Jeff); siblings, Lura, Ervin, Ellis (Gail), Kerry (Mary), and Mimi (Jim); ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Clay Jr., Ernest, Perry, Shirley, and Earl Sr.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 9:00-11:00 am at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
