Edward "Eddie" L. Engelhardt

Edward L. Engelhardt, age 73, formerly of Arabi, LA and resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on April 9, 2015, at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice.

He is survived by his wife, Diane K. Green; daughter, Suzanne E. Ney and husband Ralph H. Ney; adoring "Poppie" to the light of his life, his only granddaughter, Madison G. Ney and fiancé Daniel P. DeFranceschi; brothers, August Engelhardt, Jr. and Erick Engelhardt, Sr.; Godson, Todd W. Engelhardt; and a host of caring and loving sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Edward is preceded in death by his parents, August and Eleanor Engelhardt; and brother, Glenn W. Engelhardt.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Sunday, April 12, 2015, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA 70816, from 4:00 PM until 7:30 PM.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2015, at 7:30 PM at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home.

A second visitation will be held at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA 70043, on Saturday, April 18, 2015, from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM. A Memorial Service will take place at 12:00 PM, followed by an inurnment.
