A resident of Baton Rouge, she died on Monday, May 18, 2009, at her home. She was 88 and a native of Greenville, Mich. She was an aerial mapping technician at McDill Field in Tampa, Fla., during World War II where she met her husband, Bill. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Saturday, May 23, from 10 a.m. until graveside service at Resthaven Gardens of Memory at noon. Survived by her husband, William J. Myers; a son, Michael O. Myers; a sister, Eleanor Buckmaster; and two grandchildren, Michael J. Myers and Mathew O. Myers. Preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and four sisters. She enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing and camping with her husband, Bill.
