Edna B. Gaudin, “Sweet Maw Maw,” 87, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, August 10,2021, surrounded by family. She was a retired employee of East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office.
Edna was preceded in death by John L. Gaudin, sons, Brent, Gerald and Daryl Gaudin, daughter, Jo Ann Gaudin, parents, Junius & Inez Bergeron, and sister Jean Bradford Hemphill.
She was survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Brenda & Joe Barrow, brother-in-law, Billy Gaudin, daughters-in-law, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends.
She enjoyed casino trips, fishing and spending time with her family and friends (especially during crawfish boils!). She was the biggest LSU sports fan there ever was. Don’t make the mistake of blocking the TV when LSU baseball was on!

Her caregivers would like to send a heartfelt thanks to her caregivers from Heart of Hospice for their kindness and dedication.
A memorial service will be held at Resthaven Garden of Memory & Funeral Home on Monday, August 16,2021. Visitation will be from 8:30 AM until 10:30 AM with services to follow. All who attend will have to follow the mask mandate.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Heart of Hospice in Edna’s name.
