alignjustifyEdith Mae Jones Walker was a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who dearly loved all of her family. She died at 8 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009, at her residence in Zachary. She was 101, born Dec. 31, 1907. Visitation at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from noon until service at 2:30 p.m. Entombment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory Mausoleum. Survived by her daughters, Delois Miller and husband Tommy, of Gloster, Miss., JoNell Williams, of St. Amant, Jean Metz and husband Chris, of Rockport, Texas, Norma Sanderson and husband Basil, of Bernice, Sue Trippi and husband Joe, of French Settlement, Bonnie Yarbrough and husband Ron, of Carencro, and Peggy Lewis and husband Ted, of Central; and son, John H. Walker and wife Sheila, of Zachary. Also survived by 25 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Henry H. Walker; parents, William Samuel and Lula G. Jones; brother, Ernest Phillip Jones; daughter and son-in-law, Juanita and Darrell Emerson; son, Billy E. Walker; granddaughter, Gloria L. Yammarino; and great-granddaughter, Ariel L. Seymour. Pallbearers will be Carroll Wayne Williams, Tommy Williams, John Walker Jr., Chris Metz Jr., Derrick Yammarino, Jimmy Martin, Jessie Kleinpeter and David Kleinpeter.
