Edith Cheri

A native of New Orleans and a resident of Baton Rouge, she passed away at the age of 90 on Sunday, November 6, 2011. Visiting will be at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 12424 Brogdon Lane, on Saturday, November 12, 2011 from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am, conducted by Rev. Jerry Martin. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in New Orleans, La. on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 1:30pm. She survived by her daughters, Carolyn, Andrea, Edith Ann and Denise Cheri sons, Lionel Cheri Jr and wife, Marianne of California and Carey Cheri and wife, Kristen of New York grandchildren, Brandon, Ashley, Christopher, Jonathan and Elizabeth sister, Louise S. Tartt of Michigan and Mary Barbara S. Gonzales and husband, Francis of New Orleans. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Lionel Cheri parents, Dugar and Edwige Hebert Savare brothers, Leo and John Charles Savare and sisters, Eunice Rosemary and Helen Savare.
