Earl Joseph Himel Jr.

Earl Joseph Himel Jr., 68, passed away quietly on Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, at 7:30 p.m. He was surrounded by his beloved family and friends. Earl was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a loving husband to his beautiful wife, Bernadine. He was a proud father to his devoted children, Earl Joey Joseph Himel III and Remy Himel Foulds. He was an avid LSU fan and loved gardening and bird watching. He was an adoring grandfather to his three grandchildren. He touched many lives with his humor, character and integrity. He will be missed and loved by all who knew him. Visitation on Thursday, Oct. 18, at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 15615 Jefferson Highway, from 10:30 a.m. until funeral at noon. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Highway. Survived by his wife of 46 years, Bernadine Labit Himel; son, Earl Joseph Himel III; daughter, Remy Himel Foulds; daughter-in-law, Brenna Langlois Himel; son-in-law, Darrell Foulds; grandchildren, Anna Foulds, Megan Himel and Luke Himel. Preceded in death by his father, Earl Joseph Himel Sr. He is also survived by his mother, Marie Louise Toups Himel; sisters, Carol Himel Collins and Cathy Himel Friloux; and brother, Ronald Himel. Arrangements by Resthaven Funeral Home.
