Earl Castilaw

Oscar Earl Castilaw, 79, a resident of Baton Rouge. He passed away on January 3, 2013 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. Earl was born on July 21, 1933 in Brookhaven, MS. He was preceded in death by both parents James Albert Castilaw and Maude McGraw Castilaw brothers, Oadis Castilaw, Alfred Castilaw and Mac Castilaw sisters, Jo Tullos and Veda Pinell. Earl is survived by his wife Patricia Guffey Castilaw children, Michael Castilaw, David Castilaw, Douglas Castilaw and Susan Watts grandchildren, Brandon Castilaw, Brittany Castilaw, Brooke Castilaw, Travis Watts, Austin Watts, Macee Watts, Jacob Castilaw, Matthew Castilaw, Sarah Castilaw, Thomas Castilaw and Daniel Castilaw siblings, Nell C Gully, Yvonne C Gonzalez and Billy Castilaw. He is also survived by longtime friend Paul Stevens. Visitation will be at Resthaven Funeral Home, Baton Rouge on Monday January 7, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until funeral services in the funeral home chapel at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Earl was a 1954 graduate of Istrouma High School he also attended LSU for two years and was a long time member of Local 198.
