E. Teer

Earnest Dale Teer departed this world on July 22, 2021 at the age of 88. He was a faithful, active and devoted member of Goodwood Church of Christ in Baton Rouge, LA. Dale was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Dale graduated from Rodessa High School in Rodessa, LA. After graduating he served four years in the United States Air Force. He received a B.S. degree from LSU in Baton Rouge, LA in Industrial Arts Education in 1961. Dale was a proud member of Local Union 198 and followed the pipefitting and industrial trade for many years out of Baton Rouge, LA. Dale received his private pilot license in his mid 30’s and loved to fly. He loved watching LSU football with his friends, and in his later years enjoyed walking his neighborhood daily and visiting with neighbors.

Dale is preceded in Death by his high school sweetheart and wife of 56 years, Barbara Lundy Teer; his father Houston and mother Myrt; his oldest sister Louana Teer Harper and her son Randy.

He leaves behind his sister Frances Teer Tate of Corpus Christi, TX; daughter, Denise Guillot and husband Chet of Valparaiso, IN, grandson Brandon Guillot and his children Jennifer and Joshua of Bryant, AR and granddaughter Carrie Peterson, husband J.L. and their children Virginia and Evangeline of White Hall, AR; son Michael Teer, wife Sondra and grandson Jay of Platte City, MO; and son Timothy Teer, wife Patrice and grandchildren Devon, Brianna and Alise of Prairieville, LA and granddaughter Lauryn Leslie, husband Aaron and their children Faelyn and Rowan of Sulphur, LA.

Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven funeral home in Baton Rouge on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 from 10:00 am until services at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow. Family and friends are invited to attend.
