Drew Copponex

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28 Our beloved son, Drew Michael Copponex, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018, at the age of 30. Drew was an incredibly kind hearted, compassionate, and generous young man. He was smart, loyal, and wise, and he could always put a smile on our faces with his great sense of humor. Drew was born on October 14, 1987, in Baton Rouge. He was a graduate of St. George School, Catholic High, and LSU. He was the Operations Manager at the Alario Center in Westwego, LA. Surviving Drew are his parents, Keith Keller and Teri Roy Copponex, his sister and brother in law, Keri C. and William Mullen, his twin nephews and godchildren, Hayes William and Keller Cason Mullen, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Drew was blessed to have many wonderful friendships throughout his life, friends he would do anything for and who would do the same for him. Preceding Drew in death were his grandparents, Joseph V. and Glenda Roy, and Frederick K. and Catherine Copponex. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 2, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. Visitation continues on Wednesday, October 3, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at St. George Catholic Church, 7808 St. George Dr. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 am, celebrated by Fr. Brad Doyle. Interment follows at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers will be Michael Johnson, James West, Brad Fossier, and Stephen Richard. Drew also leaves behind his devoted dog, Del, and for this reason we request that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to PetSmart Charities (petsmartcharities.org)
