Dr. Mohanty

Dr. Rama C. Mohanty passed away at the age of 75. He was born in Patpur, Orissa, India and was a resident of Baton Rouge for 38 years. Dr. Mohanty proudly and courageously served his country as a Lt. Colonel in the United States Army. He was a Physics Professor at Louisiana State University, Southern University, University of California at Berkeley, and Chairman of the Physics Departments at Morehouse College and New York State University. Dr. Rama Mohanty is survived by his loyal and loving wife, Anasuya Mohanty son, Bijoy Mohanty daughter, Lipika Mohanty and her husband, Kendall Kearns granddaughter Allyson M. Aladana and brothers Dr. Purna Mohanty and Dr. Surendra Mohanty. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jateswara and Haramani Mohanty and his brother Dr. Mahendra Mohanty.
