Dr. Miller

Dr. Russell Lee Miller, 88, a true man of God, went to be with the Lord on January 4, 2011, with his family at his side. Visitation at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway on Friday, January 7, 2011 from 5pm to 8pm. Visitation will resume after 11am on Saturday, January 8, 2011 until the service at 12 noon. Services will be conducted by Wayne Austin, John Green, and Russell R. Miller. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He was born on December 23, 1922 to James and Idella Miller of Cairo, Georgia. He was a very devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is a veteran of WWII, serving in the Army AirCorp. and was a professor of Agronomy at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge for 35 years retiring in 1987. He is survived by the love of his life, Ann their 69th anniversary was on December 23, 2010, along with two daughters and spouses, Sandra and J.W. Green, Cheryl and David Nasab two sons and spouses, Russell R. and Carla Miller, Rodney and Debra Miller five granchildren and spouses, Joey and Clarissa Green, Lindsey and Jose Canossa, Ryan Miller, Sara Nasab, David Nasab and five great grandchildren.
