Douglas Reed

A native of Eunice and a resident of Baton Rouge, he passed away at 12:50am on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Neuro Medical Rehab Center. He was a Technical Support Specialist with the Louisiana Department of Administration. Visiting will be at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Thursday, January 20 from 5pm8pm. Visiting resumes at Most Blessed Sacrament, 15615 Old Jefferson Highway, on Friday, January 21 from 10:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am. Burial will be in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie L. Reed a daughter, Sara Reed brothers, Michael W. Reed and wife Nancy, Bernard A. Ben Reed and wife Clarese and Wendell F. Reed and wife Melissa. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Curry A. and Rosemary Bergeron Reed sister. Brenda Claire Reed. Pallbearers will be his brothers, Michael, Bernard Ben and Wendell Reed Al Toups, Brian McNutt, Jacob Reed, Randy Cooper, Jacob Bergeron and Francis Furrate. He had a deep love for LSU. He was member of the Knights Of Columbus and received Fourth Degree honors.
