Dorothy Squyres
peacefully passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2014 at the age of 92. She was a native of Fayette, AL. and resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She married the love of her life,Bob Clinton Robert Squyres, Jr. on February 3, 1956. She and Bob were married for 38 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Sue Mooney and husband Tim stepdaughter, Peggy McGinnis and husband Jim four grandchildren, Chris Lalonde, David Lalonde, Michelle Lalonde, and Rob Mooney. Rob was her joy and life. He called her GaGa or Grandma sister, Betty Jean Clement and husband John brother, Jeff Gilpin and wife Joycelyn and numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bob Clinton Robert Squyres, Jr. Now, she joins him again in the presence of her loving Savior that she longed to see. father, T.J. Gilpin, mother, Lucy Bell Gilpin two brothers, Raymond Gilpin, and Ralph Gilpin and three sisters, Irene Gilpin, Martha Cole, and Sally Blanche Lea.

Visiting at Resthaven Funeral home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA. 70816 from 11:00 am until service at 1:00 pm. Pallbearers are Tim Mooney, Ken Cole, Terry Browning, Chris Lalonde, David Lalonde, and Craig Clement. Honorary pallbearers are Gene Raymond Gilpin, Jimmy Gilpin, Eric Lalonde, Doyle Burnett, and Norman Blewer. Interment to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
