Dorothy Seidel

A homemaker and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 74 and a native of Worcester, Mass. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Friday, Feb. 27, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Saturday, Feb. 28, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Ron Lambe. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by her husband, Frank A. Seidel; a daughter, Cheryl and her husband, Benny Duncan; two sons, David and his wife, Donna Seidel, and Daniel and his wife, Kahne Seidel; and eight grandchildren, Ashley, Danielle, Chris, Sara, Alexandra, Rachel, Jackson and Samuel. Preceded in death by her mother, Sally M. Martin; grandson, Taylor Seidel; father and mother-in-law, Frank A. Sr. and Margaret McQuade. Pallbearers will be Benny Duncan, Austin Kendrick, Mike Vargo, Jack Seidel, Chris Blacklock, Dan Seidel and David Seidel. She was a member of the Lagniappe Club, Entrenous and Bal Masque. She was a former member of Fairwood Country Club.
