Dorothy Jean Cotten Latil

Dorothy Jean Cotten Latil, age 93, a resident of Baton Rouge passed away surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, July 21, 2023, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Mrs. Latil was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Latil, Sr.; her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Don Harlow; her parents, Robert (Snow) Cotten and Bertie Cotten; her brother, Rufus Cotten and her sister, Helen Cotten Wells.

She is survived by her three children, Diane (Kurt) Wilson, Don (Cindy) Latil, and Darlene (Glenn) Fritchie; her two siblings, Peggy Hardenburgh and Bobby Cotten; her seven grandchildren, Kurt Wilson, Jr., DeShea Hosch, Dana Wilson, Blake Harlow, Brittney Latil, Blayne Fritchie, and Blaire Brezina; her seven great-grandchildren, Trace Wilson, Savannah Wilson, Ellis Hosch, Synclare Hosch, Emerson Hosch, Brynn Brezina, and RP Brezina; her great-great-granddaughter, Sawyer Kate Wilson, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she adored.

Mrs. Latil was the epitome of class with a little Southern sass. Known for her amazing desserts, she will be dearly missed, always treasured, and forever loved.

Visitation will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. Baton Rouge, LA., on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, from 12:30 pm until funeral services at 2:30 pm. Entombment will take place immediately following the service in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
