Dorothy Jones

A beloved wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother was called home on Wednesday, March 04, 2009. She was 80, a resident of Watson, a native of Picayune, Ms. A wonderful homemaker and a member of Riverside Baptist Church in Watson. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Aubrey Jones; One daughter Lawanna Stevens and husband Larry; two sons, Brent Taylor and wife Debbie and Leroy Taylor and wife Christelle; 2 step-daughters, Debbie Pousson and husband Phil and Karin Jones; 1 step-son Mike Jones; eight grandchildren, Trae Campbell, Tera

Perry, Michelle, Brock, Brooklyn and Falan McCall and Brennan Taylor; two step-grandchildren, Jessie Pousson and Danielle Jones; 6 great-grandchildren; Two brothers, Robert E. Lee and Earl D. Lee and wife Chessie; one sister Diane Whitchurch and husband Dennis.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Shorty Deward Taylor; her parents, Reverend Charlie and Dorothy Lee; two brothers Perry D. Lee and Charles J. Lee; one sister Pat Strahan and one step-grandson John Pousson.

Visitaiton will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy on Friday, March 6, 2009, 5 p.m. 9 p.m. and will resume on Saturday, March 7, 2009 from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Trae Campbell, Brock Taylor, Brennan Taylor. Blayne Perry, Taylor Perry, Jessie Pousson, and Dewitt Croswell.

The family would like to personally thank Our Lady of the Lake Hospital Telemetry Unit and the Hospice of Baton Rouge Butterfly Wing at Ollie Steele Burden.
