Dorothy Johnson

Dorothy Gomez Johnson, age 94, a native of St. Francisville and a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on July 19, 2018
She treasured her family and had a contagious smile that would light up the room. Dorothy was in the banking industry for over 25 years at Fidelity Bank. She was an active member of Broadmoor Baptist Church and served on the communion committee for over 10 years. She loved flowers and bird watching.
Dorothy is survived by her husband William "Bill" Johnson who was the love of her life and they were married for 75 years; daughter, Peggy Johnson Gray; son, William Thomas Johnson and wife Brenda Altazan; 6 granddaughters; 2 great granddaughters and 2 great grandsons.
She is preceded in death by parents Thomas and Mary Gomez; 5 brothers; 1 sister; and son-in-law, Robert W. Gray.
Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on Saturday, July 21, 2018 10:00 am until services at 11:00 am officiated by Dr. Leonard Ezell. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
