Dorothy Hopson

Dorothy "Dot" Temple Hopson, age 78, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away on February 26, 2017.

Dorothy loved reading. She worked at Stanacola Medical for almost 15 years and was the administrator for her husband's businesses. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be missed by all who loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Herbert Hopson; her two sons, Gregory Hopson and wife Terri, and Robert Hopson and wife Kara: her daughter, Karen Hopson Beach and husband Paul "Rocky"; her brothers, William Temple and wife Maxine, Joseph Temple and wife Eva, Otis Temple and wife Suzanne, and Ronnie Temple and wife Ronda; her eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her son, Randall Hopson; and her parents, William Ferguson and Juanita Day Temple.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA on Monday, February 27, 2017 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 from 10:00am until funeral service at 11:00am. Burial will immediately follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
