Dorothy Bacon Johnson passed away on Saturday morning January 12th, 2013. She was 88 years old and was preceded in death by her husband Thomas K Johnson Jr, daughter Tommie Tootie Johnson, grandson Alex A. Johnson, father Oliver H. Bacon and mother Dezine Forbes. She is survived by her brother Jimmy Bacon, her sisters Mamie Watts and Carole Abadie, her children Russell Payne, Connie Markam Golden, Kell Johnson and step daughter Lynda Johnson Marks. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren Rusty Payne, Adrian White, Charity Golden Wilson, Joel Golden, Taylor Johnson, Amy Breaux, Gerry Breaux, Wade Breaux, Courtney Breaux Perez, Jonathan Marks, Ryan Marks and twelve great grandchildren. She was born in Baton Rouge and resided in Baker, La for the last 54 years. She was a graduate of Istrouma High School and a retired employee of WalMart. She was an ordained minister and a member of Miracle Place Church in Baker Louisiana. She was well known in her community for being a woman committed to loving and serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Many called upon her to pray for them and their families. She will be missed by those that knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held at Miracle Place Church in Baker, LA on Friday January 18th at 5:00 p.m.
