Dorothy Mae Baker Decker died May 25, 2013, in St. Francisville, Louisiana. She was born August 27, 1923, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to James Lloyd Baker and Freda Norine Sholar. She married Wade Noland Decker on April 11, 1942 in Arabi, Louisiana. Dorothy retired from NCR in Baton Rouge. She was the owner of Dotties Antiques and for many years, had her collections in several antique galleries and participated in antique glass and depression glass shows in Louisiana and throughout the United States. She had many talents and enjoyed making beaded jewelry, creating ceramics, gardening and genealogy. She was an avid reader and crossword puzzle worker. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved house cats. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter, Dorothy Dottie Ann Decker, her sisters, Juanita Johnston and Mary Helen Kidd, and her inlaws, Samuel James and Anne Annie Penelope Wicker Decker. Visitation at Resthaven Funeral Home on May 28, 2013 from 10 am until funeral service at 2 pm conducted by Rev. Jan Curwick, Senior Pastor, St. Francisville United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers will be Larry Ortego, Jamey Johnston, Christopher Gabel, C. B. Roy, Bryan Chemin and Brandon Johnson.
