Dorothy Botts

Dorothy Botts, age 94, native of Donaldsonville, LA, and resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2015.

She is survived by her children, Mary Ella Reid Butler and husband David, Robert Raymond Reid III and wife Elizabeth, Dorothy Cecilia Reid Acker and husband Bruce; grandchildren, Dorothy Butler Lawrence and husband Todd, David M. Butler, Jr. and wife Rachelle, Elizabeth Reid, Catherine Reid, Anne Reid, Shelby Foster Cavette and husband Andrew, Robert Foster and wife Ashley; and four great-grandchildren.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her first husband, Robert R. Reid II; second husband, Charles A. Botts; parents, Ambrose and Ella Mayhall; granddaughter, Margaret Hope Reid; brothers, Louis Babin Mayhall, Donald Joseph "Jack" Mayhall, Col. John Ogden "J.O." Mayhall, Ambrose "A.D." Davis Mayhall; sisters, Lucille Mayhall Ashcraft, Sybil Mayhall, Merle Lauve, Ruth McCartt, Shirley A. Mayhall; and sister-in-law, Louella Mayhall.
