Doris Ryan

A resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 4:15 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at the inpatient unit at Hospice of Baton Rouge. She was 74 and a native of Chazy, N.Y. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Thursday, Feb. 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by graveside service at Resthaven Gardens of Memory at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Jerry Martin. She is survived by her husband, William J. Ryan Sr.; mother, Cecelia L. Garrow, Baton Rouge; three daughters, Patti Anne Ryan, Woodridge, Ill., Tammy Lynn Ryan, Trenton, Ohio, and Shari Elizabeth Ramsey and husband Raymond, Baton Rouge; two sons, Michael Patrick Ryan, Trenton, and William Joseph Ryan Jr. and wife Vickie, Geismar; and two grandsons, Austin Patrick Ryan and Cory Joseph Ryan. Preceded in death by her father, Jonas I. Garrow; and two sisters, Cecelia and Elizabeth Garrow. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. I feel your peace within my tears, your smile forever in my heart. My deepest sorrows often felt, yet comfort follows knowing you're at peace. Mom, you are so sadly missed, and I pray that when it's time to pass that you'll be there to greet me on the other side.
