Met with our Lord and Savior on May 11, 2012. She was eightytwo, born November 6, 1929 in Henderson, Kentucky. Survived by her devoted husband of sixtyfive years, William E. Fruit son, William Casey soninlaw, Joseph Adams sisterinlaw, Carol Fruit Estey brotherinlaw, Aubrey Gibson five nieces: Charley Jo Baker Griggs, Audrey Gibson Benton, Lisa Baker Keith, Kelly Jo Gibson Fronabarger, and Cara Baker Jamerson four greatnephews and one greatniece. Preceded in death by sons, Danny Wayne Fruit and Sammy Joe Fruit father, Ike Baker mother, Georgie Baker brother, Charlie Baker sister, Frieda Baker twin sister, Deloris Baker fatherinlaw, Eddie Fruit, and motherinlaw, Bessie Fruit. She was a devoted wife and loving mother, a wonderful daughter, sister, and beautiful friend. She will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved her. Special thanks to Jennifer Pearson, Derrick McCray, Yvette Henry, Richard Kater, Amanda Alleman and Jack Sharp. A memorial service will be held at Jefferson United Methodist Church, 10328 Jefferson Hwy, Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 11 a.m., followed by a celebration of life in the reception hall. Honorary pallbearers are Chris Griggs, James King, Pete Martin, Johnny Carville, Don Jones, Kevin Saunders, and Matthew Roppolo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Heart Association at www.americanheart.org and The American Breast Cancer Foundation at www.abcf.org.
