Donora Forbes

Donora M. Forbes, age 83, native and resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away at home and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 10, 2016.

She was a long-term member of Blackwater United Methodist Church.

Donora is survived by her nephews, Henry, James, Barry, and Randy Solar; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; parents, Avia and Henry Meliet; and sister, Virginia Frazier.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70816, from 12:00 pm until services at 2:00 pm.

Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Linda Osberry, Ashley Boston, and Linda Stevens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to St. Joseph's Hospice, 10615 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA 70809.
