Donna Wray

March 9, 1945 — September 2, 2013

Donna Wray was welcomed home by her Heavenly family on Monday, September 2, 2013. Her gentle soul was released from a battle she fought courageously and now she is reaping the rewards of the promised life to those who faithfully follow the Lord. Her husband, Jim Wray walked as far as he could with her, supporting her every step of the way. Letting go of your lifelong love is never easy, but comfort is found knowing that she is continuing in a greater love than anyone could ever imagine. A few words could never define the wonderful and loving person Donna Broussard Wray was and continues to be. She was gifted in many beautiful ways that came so naturally to her that when you would compliment her she would brush it off explaining, anybody could do thatno, not anybody Donna, few have the eye for being able to create beauty out of ordinary things. People were drawn to her because of her unique gift of making each person feel special, important and loved. Jim was drawn to her 45 years ago looking at her silhouette in the sunset realizing at that moment he was looking at the woman he was going to marry. Their journey together in life was one of mutual love, respect and realizing how blessed they were to have found each other. God blessed each of them when their paths crossed those many years ago with a love that would last a lifetime. Donna is survived by her husband, James B. Wray her precious baby puppies that gave her so much pleasure and joy cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew P. and Doris Broussard. A memorial service will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 12424 Brogdon Ln, on Monday, September 9, 2013 from 10 am until memorial mass at 11 am.
