Donald R. Turnley, 66, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at his home. A resident and native of Baton Rouge, LA. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Donald retired from Exxon Mobil after 28 years of service. He had a love for music and a collection of CDs like no other. There was no song he did not know His favorite hobby was being a DJ and playing his music for others. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Toni Bologna Turnley daughter, Cara Turnley Wood and husband Miguel son, Anthony Joseph Turnley and wife Laura grandsons, Miguel Wood, Jr. and William Wood four sisters, Dianna Wheeler, Brenda Brown, Margaret Melancon and Inez Cross motherinlaw, Margaret Bologna and sisterinlaw, Mary Ellen Kopel and husband Sam. He is preceded in death by his parents, William H. Turnley, Jr. and Doris Brogdon Turnley brother, William H. Turnley, III and fatherinlaw, Antonio J. Bologna. A visitation will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 450 Marquette Ave., on Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 9:30 am until memorial service at 10:30 am conducted by Rev. Cleo J. Milano.
