Donald Joseph Troxclair, 86, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at The Carpenter House in Baton Rouge, LA. He was a native of Vacherie, LA and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA . Donald proudly service in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, achieving the title as Corporal with Stripes. He was a farmer that retired from the chemical industry as an instrument and electrical technician, but he always remained a farmer at heart. Donald was a member of St. Louis King of France Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Mens Usher Society, and he was also on the Board of Directors at St. Joseph PM Company. Donald is survived by his loving wife, Iris DeLaune Troxclair two daughters, Aimee E. Hansen and husband William, and Carol C. Decoteau and husband Stephen son, Donald J. Troxclair, Jr. two grandchildren, Lauren Christine Troxclair and Jenay Christine Hansen sister, Mabel Gaspard and brothers, Alvin Troxclair and Laurent Rip Troxclair and wife Betty Jo. Preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Virginia Troxclair fatherinlaw and motherinlaw, Woodrow Wilson and Lois Marie DeLaune three sisters, Marie Troxclair, Laurence Troxclair and Alma Siegel two brothers, Roland Troxclair and Stephen Troxclair and brotherinlaw, Lee Roy Gaspard. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 from 5 pm to 8 pm and will resume on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church, 2121 N Sherwood Forest Dr., from 9 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am, conducted by Rev.
