Donald Stephens

Donald Kenneth Stephens, Jr. (“Dookie”) age 56, and a resident of Slaughter, Louisiana passed away on December 27, 2022. Donald was a 1985 graduate of Woodlawn High  School. He worked for 32 years at Circle J Pallets in Slaughter.  Donald was loved and respected by so many family and friends.  He was a man who was gentle, hardworking,  and he had the kindest heart and loved everyone he met. If you needed help, he was there, no questions asked.

Donald is survived by his sister,  Deloris Gross (Reggie); and two brothers, Ronnie Stephens, Sr. (Joan) and Kenneth Watkins.  He is also survived by his nieces Tanya Gross and Jami Decareaux;  nephews Wayne Gross, Christopher Gross, Matthew Marchand,  Jason Marchand and Ronnie Stephens, Jr.; as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews who love him dearly.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Betty Stephens and Donald Kenneth Stephens,  Sr.; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Friends and family are invited to attend the Graveside Services at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Resthaven Garden of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge.  A Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 a.m.  Honored to serve as pallbearers will be:    Wayne Gross, Christopher Gross, Dustin LeBlanc,  Adam Wilson, Milton Young and Bobby Dupre.
