Donald Simmons

A resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Bogalusa, living at Sunrise Assisted Living, he died Thursday, Oct. 7, 2011. He was 77. A family graveside service will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory on Saturday, Oct 8, at 10 a.m. He served in the military for 24 years, including service in the Vietnam War, and retired from the military and AWC Inc. He was preceded in death by his wife, Takoko Simmons. He is survived by his sister, Marian Alford and husband Robert nephew, Robert Alford Jr. and nieces, Dianne Coats and Lori Thompson.
