Donald Johnson

Donald E. Johnson passed away October 8, 2018 at the age of 91. Don was born to Anton and Edna Johnson in Andrew, Iowa on September 18, 1927. He graduated from the Maquoketa, Iowa High School in 1945. After serving in the U.S. Army he enrolled at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa and graduated with a degree in Chemistry in 1949. He was employed as a chemist at Ethyl Corporation in Baton Rouge, Louisiana from 1951 until he retired in 1988. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Muriel (Duffy), son Jeff and his wife Meg and their children, Noel and Christian, and son, Bruce, all of Baton Rouge. He is also survived by his Brother Karl of Fairfax, Virginia and his family. According to his wishes he will be cremated and there will be no formal services.
