Donald Cave

Donald G. Cave, age 74, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018.

Donald was born in Fort Worth, TX, and lived in Shreveport, LA. He went to Byrd High School, attended LSU, Phi Gamma Delta (Fiji), and LSU Law School.

He married an Uptown girl from New Orleans, Stephanie Feehan, his devoted wife of 50 years, on September 2, 1967. She supported him through law school and he, in turn, supported her through medical school. They built their practices side by side for over 30 years.
Donald founded Cave Law Firm, and participated as a member as Board of Governors of the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association, and of the Louisiana and American Association of Justice.

Don was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Boone, Father, Manuel Cave, and stepfather, Calvin Boone.

Donald is survived in death by his wife Stephanie Feehan; Chris and Shannon Cave, Michael Cave, and Patrick and Annah Cave and Christin Haynes; Randa Durham, Lola Boone, Mary Ellen Davros, Dale Mateyoke; Ramsey, Logan, Brennan Lee, Hudson, Liam, Amelia, Ethan, Frances, Louisa, and Walker Cave. He is survived too by all large Elk and White Tail Deer everywhere.

Visiting hours will take place from 8:30am until 10:30am, at St. Patrick's Church, 12424 Brogdon Lane, Baton Rouge, on Saturday, February 17, 2018. Services will begin at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory & Funeral Home, Baton Rouge.

Pallbearers will include Chris Cave, Mike Cave, Pat Cave, Walker Cave, John McKay, Guy Modica, Craig Watson, Jack Dunn and Mike Feehan.

The family of Donald G. Cave wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Elizabeth Wells Downey, his devoted secretary for 45+ years, the women at Stephanie F. Cave MD, the parishioners of St. Patrick's Church, the ushers at St Patrick whom he considered to be his second family, and the attorneys of the Ya-Ya Group at the City Club, and the medical teams at OLOL hospital.
