Dominic Bonanno

Dominic Donnie Bonanno, native of Lobdell, LA and resident of Central, LA, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2014 at the age of 76.
Donnie was the owner of Donnies Furniture Repair and Refinishing Inc. for 45 years. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and enjoyed fishing, going to the casino, and taking care of his fruit trees. Donnie loved his children and grandchildren very much.
Donnie is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Virginia Lou Bonanno children and their spouses, Debbie and Karl Meyer, Cheryl Toot Glass, Donna and Carl Guy, Brenda and Bill Miller, Lisa Bonanno and John Good, Darryl Bonanno and Susan Scroggs, Donnie and Samantha Bonanno, and Chris and Jill Bonanno 15 grandchildren, Tricia Glass Devin, Melissa DeCook Kenny, Brandon Glass Laura, Corey Robillard, Matthew Miller Samantha, Jamie Jurisich Nathan, Jessica Carlino, Kaylie Carlino, Jennifer Bonanno, Makayla Bonanno, Riley Bonanno, Cale Dominic Bonanno, Briar Bonanno, Keith Sanchez two stepgrandchildren, Kim Marino and Cory Guy 13 greatgrandchildren, Taylor Boykin, Justin Pate, Adelynn DeCook, Tinley Glass, Dylan Marino, JT Marino, Mia Guy, Isaiah Guy, Zachary Guy, Jaiden Krejci, Preston Cangelosi, Michael Cangelosi, Taylor Paige, and two coming in March.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Santo Bonanno and Elizabeth Denicola Meyers Bonanno granddaughter, Mandy Emanuel sister, Marie Franks, brother, Andrew Bonanno, nephew, Sammy Bonanno, and soninlaw, Bennie Glass.
Visitation will be observed at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, on Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday, December 22, 2014 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 14040 Greenwell Springs Road, from 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.
Pallbearers will be Darryl Bonanno, Donnie Bonanno, Chris Bonanno, Matthew Miller, Corey Robillard, Brandon Glass, John Good, and Karl Meyer. Honorary pallbearers will be Cale Bonanno, Bill Miller and Carl Guy.
