Dolores Williams, 77, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2014 at her home. She was a devoted wife, sister, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time helping others. Dolores was a native of Edinburg, MS and a resident of Denham Springs, LA. She graduated as valedictorian from George S. Gardiner High School in Laurel, MS in 1953. Dolores married Latrelle Williams on June 14, 1957 and celebrated 45 years of marriage until his passing in 2002. After moving to Baton Rouge, she began a career in banking which lasted for 27 years. At the time of her retirement in 1995, she was a Vice President and Branch Manager of Premier Bank. Dolores and Latrelles favorite hobbies were traveling and fishing. Dolores was active with Financial Women International, an officer and board member of the Baton Rouge Eye Bank Auxiliary, and served as treasurer and president of the American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 38. She was a devoted member of Hebron Baptist Church in Denham Springs, LA. Dolores is survived by her daughter, June Benoit and husband Tony two sons, Gary Williams and wife Meg, and Brian Williams and wife Carmen grandchildren, Jared and Blake Benoit, Todd and Amy Williams, and Kayla and Kristyn Williams brother, Ward Testerman and wife Brenda and sistersinlaw, Rosie Testerman and Mary Williams. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Latrelle Williams parents, Alfred Testerman and Mattie Grace Ward grandchildren, Patrick and Allison Williams brother, Elwin Testerman and brotherinlaw, Milton Williams. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 6 pm to 8 pm and will resume at the funeral home on Friday, January 10, 2014 from 9 am until funeral service at 10 am. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. The family wishes to thank her devoted caregivers, Dixie Clark and Marie Wallace, who stayed by her side until her death, and to the entire staff of St. Michaels Hospice, especially Katina Pickett, Amanda and Ashley. The family also wishes to thank the care given to her by the Pennington Cancer Center at the Baton Rouge General Hospital.
