Mom peacefully ascended to her heavenly home with her guardian angel, Archive, on April 30, 2021. Mom was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She loved cajun dancing, cooking for her family, spending time with loved ones, and playing pickleball and volleyball for the Senior Olympics. Mom was proud of her many gold medals she won while playing. Mom was a great travel partner and enjoyed being on the go and seeing new places and visiting family in Tennessee.
Mom was born on August 16, 1928 in Paincourtville, Louisiana.
She is survived by a son, Randall J. Diez (Dawn), a daughter, Debra Ann Von Monarch, grandchildren Jacob Whitney Diez (Jessica) and Amanda Diez Stewart (Elvis), a step-granddaughter, Natalie Tucker Mautner and multiple great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dolese and Elnora Simoneaux, her siblings: Libby, Everett Sr, Lorry, Lawrence, Dennis, and her twin brother, Dolese Simoneaux Jr; her daughter in law, Debi Landry Diez, and her son in law, John Eric Von Monarch.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 10 AM at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
