Dianne was born July 31, 1950, in Baton Rouge, LA. She graduated from Baton Rouge High and attended Mississippi State College for Women, graduating with a degree in accounting. Her early career was dedicated to working for the family business, H.J. Wilson and Co. She proudly sat on the Board of Directors of the Huey and Angelina Wilson Foundation, a private foundation dedicated to supporting the most disadvantaged in Louisiana, for over twenty years.
Dianne was a one-of-a-kind soul. She was smart, funny, compassionate, accepting and beautiful inside and out. She was the type of person who never went unnoticed when she walked in a room. She had a big personality, a big smile, and a big heart. She was always ready to help a friend or family member in need, genuinely a welcoming soul and always wanting to make those she loved around her more comfortable. Like her parents, she gave to both local and national nonprofits close to her heart. She always had a flair for the wild and the creative. She loved animals, a good party, and most of all her family. She always said, “You can never have too many people love you.” And she lived by this creed, loving both her given family, her chosen family, those who had no family, and her friends.
While we grieve the loss of a wife, a mother, a grandmother and a friend, we will always treasure the happy memories we were able to make with her and the indelible mark she has left on the lives of those who love her. “Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories.” Thank you for leaving the trail for us, Lady Di. She will be forever loved and forever missed. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook or leave a personal note to the family at www.resthavenbatonrouge.com.
