Diane Nye

Diane Staples Nye, 70, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2013 at the Carpenter House. Native of New Orleans, Louisiana and resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who appreciated her family and found great joy in being with them. Diane was a fan of LSU sports, an avid traveler and enjoyed history. She is survived by her beloved soul mate Raymond Huxen, Sr. two daughters, Kelly Nye Brewster and husband Bryan, and Tracy Nye Evans and husband Lamar two stepsons, Raymond Huxen, Jr. and wife Beth, and Ronald Huxen sister Michelle Staples six grandchildren, Reid Pellegrin, Kacy Pellegrin McManus Josh, Parker Evans, Perri Evans, Kiva Huxen, and Kayla Huxen and her mother Noe and many devoted, lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Lorraine Staples and son Ronnie Allen Nye. Visitation will be at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA 70816, on Monday, August 5, 2013 from 6 pm until 8 pm and will continue on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 from 9 am until funeral service at 10 am conducted by Pastor Paul Trentacoste. Interment to follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
