Delia Thornton

A resident of Baton Rouge passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at The Carpenter House. She was 97 years old. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 30, 2013 from 10 a.m. until the Service at 11 a.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, conducted by Father R. Kevin Kelly. She will be laid to rest at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She is survived by son, Audis H. Thornton Jr and wife Jane Grandchildren, Michael H. Thornton and Tracy D. Bontz and great grandchildren Lindsay Thornton, Taylor Bontz, Morgan Bontz and Blake Bontz.. She was preceded in death by her husband Audis H. Thornton Sr. Parents , Joseph and Augusta Martinez Brothers, Russell and Dupuy Martinez. The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Jospehs Hospice The Carpenter House and at PACE for the loving care they showed Dee. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Trinity Episcopal Church Outreach or The Carpenter House.
