Debra Staehle Bonds passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at the age of 64. She was born October 31, 1960, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Earle J. Staehle, Jr. and Jeanne E. Catoire. A 1978 graduate of Riverdale High School in Jefferson, Louisiana, she then went on to attend the University of New Orleans and Loyola University.
Debra had a long and successful career as an SAP Specialist and often joked that she was proficient with computers before they even had a mouse! Debra worked for Exxon, Shell and most recently Executrek. Her five years with them were rewarding professionally, but more so she valued the friendships made and the way that they treated their employees. She and her family will be eternally grateful for the love and support of her Executrek ‘family’.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Debra is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Chris Bonds; their sons Christian Bonds and his wife, Katherine; and John Patrick Bonds and his wife, Natalie; and her beloved grandchildren, Riley and Isabella Bonds. She is also survived by her sister Brenda Dessauer and her husband Steve; her brother E.J. Staehle; as well as numerous other loving family and friends.
This woman was a force to be reckoned with and she had strength beyond measure. A rule follower with a big heart, she was incredibly selfless and always put others first. Never one for down time, when she wasn’t working, her creative side led to countless home projects. But nothing mattered more to her than her family, especially both of her incredible sons and those grandbabies! We will forever cherish the countless memories made and wish that we had more time.
