David Wilson

Born February 16, 1955 in Jonesville, La went peacefully into the arms of our Lord on September 28, 2012. David is preceded in death by his father, Riley Wilson sister, Joy Wilson Maillet paternal grandparents, Johnny Lorena Wilson materal grandparents, G A and Alice Girod. Survived by his mother, Irma Wilson Shell and one son, Benjamin Wilson of San Francisco, CA as well as two nephews who were like little brothers to him, Nathan Means and wife Cheryl and sons Brandon and Dylan, and Colby Means and wife Heather 3 sisters, Troyce Shell of Germany, Jerry Lea Shell Franks and husband Jeff of San Antonio, Jessica Shell Horn and husband Ken and his long time close friend, Ed Campanella. David was a free spirit who loved to travel and experience life. His passion was in archeology. After graduating high school at Tara High he joined the Navy during the Vietnam War era. He retired from American Film Technology in San Diego and was a member of Florida Boulevard Baptist Church. As per Davids wishes there will be no services held. Memorial donations to any Veterans organization will be greatly appreciated. David was loved by all who knew him and will be sadly missed. Our heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses in MICU at Our Lady of the Lake and the VA staff for their care and concern.
