A retired electrical engineer for Westinghouse Electric, he worked most of his career in Pittsburgh and also worked in the U.S. Navy shipyards during World War II for Westinghouse Electric. A resident of Baton Rouge, and a native of Shawnee, Okla., he died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, at 3:30 a.m., at age 91. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home on Monday, Oct. 13, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his two daughters, Barbara Roach Biggs and husband Dale Biggs and Doris Jeanne Roach; son, Ralph Roach and wife Jane Roach; sister, Jeane Roach Hobson; two brothers, Richard Roach and wife Lorraine and Paul Roach; two sisters-in-law, Carol Smith Roach and Betty Roach; three grandchildren, Milan D. Chepko III, Sarah E. Roach and Alan E. Roach; four stepgrandchildren, Charles Biggs, Evelyn Biggs Brown, Bruce Biggs and Thomas Biggs; and in-laws, Echo Waldby, Odell and Frances Waldby, Annice Waldby Flippo and Doris Waldby Andersen. Preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Annette Waldby; parents, Neal and Lena Roach; daughter, Karen Roach Chepko; brothers, Frank Roach, Jerry Roach and Glenn Roach.
