David Charles Murray, Sr.
David Charles Murray, Sr. passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 24, 2015 at the age of 65.
A Baton Rouge native, he was born on June 5, 1949. David was a Navy veteran and enjoyed building engines, racing, fishing, and hunting. He owned a vehicle inspection station for over 40 years and was instrumental in effecting legislative change for the Louisiana Motor Vehicle Association. David was a dedicated and attentive family man and spent a lot of time with his children and grandchildren. He will deeply be missed.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Katrina Murray; daughters, Sharon Murray of Austin, TX, and Monica Tuttle of Baton Rouge, LA; son, David C. Murray, Jr. of Dallas, TX; sisters, Annette Bubola of Baton Rouge, LA and Martha Jayne Murray of Ocoee, FL; and five grandchildren, Cade Callaway, Meredith Tuttle, Madeline Tuttle, Gus Tuttle, and Ann Marie Murray.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Albert and Helen Evans Murray; brother, Albert Murray; and by a great-niece, Lesley Sekulich; and great-nephew.
The family request that visiting hours be observed on Tuesday, January 27, at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., 2015 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visiting hours will resume on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 from 9:00 am until time of services.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 10:00 am at Resthaven Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Novak, Cade Callaway, David Murray, Jr., Bill Tuttle, Nicky Sekulich, Julian Bubola, Tommy Worthy, and Steve Pourciau.
Interment will take place in Roselawn Memorial Park.
